George
Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer and MP for Tatton
Ask Your MP a Question? |
 |
Dear
George,
I was absolutely horrified to hear your shortsighted and very irresponsible
hate inspiring and otherwise inappropriate anology of people who
are on benefits on the ITV news. When you made the comparison by
stating, \"when you go to work in the morning and see the
neighbours blinds drawn, why should they live a life on benefits\".
It was appalling for you to not first consider the impact or the
implications that your statement could and probably will have on
the lives of many innocent or vulnerable people in our society.
What an absolutely irresponsible comment to make with
such a generalisation of people who are on benefits through no
fault of their own, which leads to resentment and hatred possibly
even acts of violence or damage to property. How would that make
you feel George when a disabled man in a wheelchair gets a brick
thrown through his front window, simply because he has become paralysed
and wants to but simply physically cannot work anymore or even
struggles to get out of his homebound prison environment.?? Kevin

LOVE
KNUTSFORD - A Gastronomic Affair |
 |
It
is well-known that Knutsford is the finest place for
a Gastronomic Affair.
First stop LOCH FYNE It’s
a place that has passion. And it makes you feel special.
Plus, the food is delicious and practically guilt-free! There’s
no need to count calories as every mouthful is full of good oils
and brimming with omega 3. Savouring oysters is like tasting
a seaside memory (try the little devils coated in garlic breadcrumbs
for a cross-channel moment). The fish soup is legendary. The smoked
salmon deserves its awards. The pan-fried bream melts in the mouth
and the olive oil mash is creamy and divine. The chips are already
the best in town and even the colourful desserts look and taste like
superfoods.

Update on the proposed
scheme of works to reinforce and upgrade the electricity supply
to the businesses in King Street area of Knutsford.
Scottish Power's design team have been
working hard to ensure that this scheme is delivered early in
the new year. I can confirm that the next phase of works has
been formally designed and this job is currently scheduled to
be released to enable delivery to commence from April
2010 onwards . Further
liaison with the local council in order to comply with our statutory
requirements under the Streetworks Act will take place in the
new year and I will aim to keep you updated of the progress of
this work.
